Pokopia early-game checklist: habitat, requests and materials

Start from the request visible in your game, rather than a fixed first-24-hours promise. The selected starter references list Tall Grass for Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. Its recipe uses four Tall Grass tufts; a valid recipe does not guarantee which Pokémon arrives.

Checklist

  1. Read the active request and write down the exact item or environment requirement.
  2. Check a named habitat recipe rather than substituting a general Forest or Town label. For Tall Grass, compare your count with the four-tuft requirement.
  3. Talk to nearby Pokémon about their comfort requests. Nintendo explains that improving comfort helps raise an area’s environment level.
  4. Before a material trip, obtain the appropriate doll and inspect Drifloon’s preview. Your town chooses one destination per day, with returns to it.
  5. Keep event requirements separate: Nintendo’s Sableye notice required a repaired Pokémon Center; do not mistake an archived event for a permanent early-game unlock.

Worked example

If a Tall Grass recipe needs four tufts and you have three, your checklist is missing one—not an additional four. For a different recipe, compare its own quantity table instead of treating this as a universal layout rule.

What this can establish: No first-day completion time, console playthrough or guaranteed spawn sequence has been measured for this site. Follow your game’s current quest text.

Pokopia building prep: recipes, storage and habitat checks

A building plan needs the exact recipe and accessible materials. It is not enough to place any objects in a 2×2 square. For example, Full recovery lists a Bed, Plain chest and First aid kit; the Treasure-hunting set uses different objects.

Checklist

  1. Choose the actual named recipe and compare each required item and quantity.
  2. Check terrain, lighting and other conditions in the Habitat Dex; this website’s item lists do not simulate them.
  3. For crafting, check the storage box next to the workbench as well as your bag. Nintendo’s 2.0.0 notes say nearby-box materials are consumed first.
  4. For underwater houses, distinguish the free Dive update from paid Bubbly Basin access. Nintendo added underwater use of the Build specialty in version 2.0.0.
  5. Before copying an object, inspect its printer requirements. Nintendo’s multiplayer guide says the proper materials are still needed.

Worked example

The 2026 Sableye exchange prices were Adventure Kit 10, Map and Compass 5, Treasure 5: 20 total. If you own the Map and Compass already, the other two historical prices add to 15. Ownership does not by itself complete an in-game habitat.

What this can establish: The site has no measured build-time benchmark and does not promise that every photographed object is copyable or free.

Pokopia restoration route planner: requests and material trips

Use this page as a restoration planning checklist, rather than a geographic map. Its useful connection is between your current request, the materials you lack and the doll route that lists them. There are no made-up marker coordinates.

Checklist

  1. Write down the active request and the area shown in your game.
  2. Separate an environment-level task from a named habitat recipe or a material shortage. They need different next actions.
  3. Check the exact recipe before leaving: nearby workbench-box materials may already cover part of the requirement.
  4. Choose a material route from the doll reference and inspect Drifloon’s preview before accepting the day’s destination.
  5. After returning, compare the actual materials collected with the request rather than treating a reported yield as guaranteed.

Worked example

For a Copper Ore requirement, the reference lists Clefairy. For Gold Ore, it lists Arcanine. If both are missing, compare what your immediate request needs first; the planner does not assign an unsupported “fastest route.”

What this can establish: Named regions are not automatically an unlock order. For Bleak Beach, Nintendo describes comfort and environment-level requests; Palette Town’s environment level unlocks some version-2.0.0 recipes. No path coordinates or travel-time measurements are claimed.

Pokopia specialties and Ditto moves: keep the two systems separate

A Pokémon’s specialty is a work role; a move is something Ditto can use. Do not infer one from the other or from a main-series type. The selected game-reference entries list Scyther as Chop, Squirtle as Water, Machop as Build/Gather and Clefairy as Hype.

Checklist

  1. Look up the specific Pokémon’s listed specialty before assigning a work task.
  2. Check the named habitat and preferred environment separately from the specialty.
  3. For a move used by Ditto, follow the in-game learning and request conditions instead of reading a companion specialty as an automatic unlock.
  4. Nintendo’s 2.0.0 notes allow companions to follow during Surf, Glide, Rollout and Magnet Rise. They do not state a universal two-times travel-speed bonus.
  5. Use the update guide for changed move behavior, such as Rollout breaking some natural objects and Strength working underwater.

Worked example

Clefairy’s Hype role and the Clefairy Doll’s Copper Ore route are different systems. Showing the doll to Drifloon does not mean Clefairy taught a mining move or gave a crafting-efficiency multiplier.

What this can establish: No speed multiplier or buff duration has been tested here. The linked profiles identify their own game-reference sources; this is a selected role comparison, not the full move list.

Professor Tangrowth in Pokopia: using requests and environment hints

Nintendo describes Professor Tangrowth as a guide you meet in Bleak Beach. Talking to them provides information on what to do next and hints for raising the environment level. The official description does not promise that merely visiting every day advances a hidden recipe track.

Checklist

  1. Talk to Professor Tangrowth when your next request or environment goal is unclear.
  2. Compare the hint with nearby Pokémon’s comfort requests; improving comfort helps the area’s environment level.
  3. Nintendo’s Bleak Beach examples include Meowth wanting a brighter habitat and Trubbish helping turn nonburnable garbage into iron ore.
  4. For Mosslax, the official guide directs you back to Professor Tangrowth for more information rather than a guessed Forest furniture set.
  5. Before a new gathering trip, identify the exact item missing from the current request and use the material picker for that need.

Worked example

If the request concerns lighting, placing an unrelated “favorite” object is not automatically the same task. Start with the actual hint, then check the game’s comfort/environment feedback after your change.

What this can establish: This is a request-reading workflow, not an independently played dialogue tree or a promise of daily automatic progression. Mystery Gift codes are a separate system.

Updates and events

Use the Ver. 2.0 / 2.0.1 change guide to separate free Dive features from the paid Bubbly Basin expansion. The Pumpkaboo guide covers the October window; the Sableye archive preserves the older exchange and recovery questions.

Planning limits to check before you act

  • Dream travel from town selects one destination per day, with return visits allowed. Cloud Island travel is tracked separately; see the Nintendo travel steps.
  • A listed recipe is an item checklist, not a universal 2×2 placement rule. Read the actual Habitat Dex and the named recipe quantities.
  • Official copying requires the proper materials. It does not reopen an expired shop or prove every item is copyable; the recovery section distinguishes these tasks.
  • We have no console benchmark for FPS, farming speed or a best-island ranking. The version check covers documented update and camera options.
